krishna's STORY

Krishna Shukla is a 24 year old Indian Australian with a passion for public relations, community, bilateral relations and philanthropy.

She is an award winning youth and multiculturalism advocate. 

She has studied a Bachelor of Economics and Political Science with Management from the Australian National University.

She currently serves on the Australian Capital Territory youth advisory council as a council member 2019-2023) working closely with the education minister of the government in power to be a voice for youth and is involved in being a part of consulting on politics and government initiatives that are targeted to young people aged 12-25.

She has also been appointed by the Chief Minister to serve on the brand strategic board for the city of Canberra, where she provides advice for building Canberra to become one of the biggest global destinations in the world.

Her many accolades include receiving the Australian Capital Territory young citizen of the year award for community service in 2021 along with being the only Indian origin women in miss world Australia pageant in 2021 and Runner up in miss tourism Australia pageant 2022.

Prior to heading communications and partnerships for one of Australia’s largest philanthropic organisations Krishna worked as a media advisor at the Australian Parliament House. 

 

Fundraising;

In total through her exclusive fundraising efforts to raise funds during Coved, Australian bushfire relief and for other causes such as violence against women and youth empowerment Krishna has single-handedly raised over $100 000 in the past 6 years.
